Site Reliability Engineer, Virtualization
W2 Contract
Salary Range: $114,400 - $135,200 per year
Location: Remote PST
Job Summary:
We require an SRE with robust experience supporting virtualization and Linux compute platforms. You will deploy services to thousands of servers across different data centers simultaneously.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) orchestration tools, including OpenStack and CloudStack.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems administration
- Experience with Linux system virtualization, including Libvirt, QEMU, KVM, and relevant APIs and programming languages.
- Experience with load balancers, high availability (HA), and failover is required.
- Strong understanding of OSI model network layers
- Experience in managing, scaling, and troubleshooting Java applications.
- Experience in Kickstart and Bootstrap.
- Working knowledge of common authentication schemes, certificates, and secure secrets management
- An understanding of advanced telemetry and observability development for services at various levels, including API, runtime, infrastructure, and log analysis.
- Golang experience with a focus on automation and tool-building is highly desirable.
