Title: Network Edge Developer - Cloud Native
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months

Job description:

• Architect, Design and Develop NaaS 'Network as a Service' solutions focusing on SmartEdge Product and Cloud. Solution would include other products like AP and Switch to provide an overall solution.
• Work with PLM and other technical leaders to Architect the solution and then technically drive the solution with engineering across different product groups.
• Act as bridge between the Cloud team and SmartEdge's networking focused team to design network services on SmartEdge and management functions on the cloud.
• Author and publish Architecture, Functional Specification and Design documents.
• Hand-on code new software features and enhancements using CNF and VNF on SmartEdge platform focusing on software data path, routing protocols, network security and cloud functions offload to SmartEdge.
• Review and approve Architecture, Functional Specification, Design documents and Test plan documents authored by other engineers.
• Lead and drive the team technically on projects, be a quality champion.
• Proactively engage and lead on customer escalations technically, to help resolve the problem promptly.
• Innovate by authoring Patents and contribute to RFC other standards forums.

Qualifications:

• BE/BTech/BS in EE/CS or equivalent. ME/MTech/MS preferred or PhD in CS/EE networking.
• Minimum 15+ years(BE/BTech/BS) or 8+ (ME/MTech/MS) experience in software development in a related area

Requirements:

• Strong expertise and experience on Networking i.e. Data path Switching, Routing Protocols and network security technologies.
• Development experience in Microservice Architecture, CNF, VNF and Cloud applications in Kubernetes/Dockers environment.
• Strong technical leadership skill, with excellent verbal/written communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Programming experience in C/C++/GoLang is required and Java is a bonus.
• Experience of using messaging services RabbitMQ, Kafka or NATS
• Development experience in Springboot or SpringCloud is a big plus.
• SaaS experience over Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure is a big Plus.
• Experience or understanding of API's/services in cloud is big plus.
• Good to have OAuth, OpenID, SAML based authentication experience or knowledge.
