Job Details

Required Attributes and Skills:

Server and Application Management

  • Maintenance and upgrades of cloud-based servers (including Tableau and LDAP) to support business needs and information technology requirements.
  • Management, maintenance, and upgrades of key analytics applications including Tableau Desktop and Server, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google BigQuery, and integration with databases including Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle.
  • Application support in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) development environment.
  • Knowledge of Confluence for management of internal wiki resources.

Database Querying and Management

  • Skill in query language and applications including SQL and Splunk.
  • Experience conducting log analysis by pulling logs from various servers and applications including Microsoft Dynamics, IBM Watson, Google Analytics, and others.
  • Knowledge of Pwik/Matomo.
  • Ability to integrate data from sources including IBM Watson.

Analytics and Insight Generation Support

  • Experience managing access and diagnosing access issues for applications including Google Analytics, Qualtrics, and other tools managed by NLM.
  • Experience liaising with product teams to resolve technical issues involving analytics and website performance.
  • Knowledge and experience with search engine optimization, ideally through Google Search Console.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience with programming languages including JavaScript and Python.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and analytics applications including Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, and/or Google Looker Studio.
  • Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) practices, particularly those around data collection and segmentation, and application development.
  • Ability to generate and report insights from web statistics and customer experience data to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across functional areas, including with staff outside of the information technology function.
