Job Summary
Your work enables the bringup into Linux OS and driver code integration in preparation for application code. In addition work is needed to provide internal test code for those products both in the lab and production floor test racks. It is for both flight radios and flight computers as well as other payloads.
This position's internal job code is Elect Design and Analysis Engr. Our team is currently hiring for level 2.
Responsibilities
- Inform the design of products in consideration of low level software/firmware
- Architect and implement the lowest level gateware, firmware, software in embedded systems to enable them to boot and run
- Provide fully operational, checked out board for application code loads
- Provide GUI based check out systems for these same products
- Provide cost, schedule, risk data and assessments to programs in addition to rock solid functional base product operation and checkout code
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
- Proficient with programming languages such as Python, C++ and C in embedded environments
- Familiar with hardware description languages (HDLs) such as VHDL, Verilog and SystemVerilog
- Proficient with version control systems such as Git
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Linux kernel driver development
- Experience with Xilinx Zynq or Ultrascale+ SoC devices
- Experience with Xilinx design flow and toolchain such as Vivado and PetaLinux (Yocto)
- Experience with SDRs using AD9361 or Xilinx RFSoC devices
- Experience with standards such as SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, Ethernet or SpaceWire
- Experience with two successful, full life-cycle software development projects
- Proficient with HDL simulators such as ModelSim/Questa and Xilinx Simulator (XSIM)
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay-Range
- Level 2: $85,850 - $126,250
