Title: Lead Information Security Operations Analyst
Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (Hybrid 3/2 onsite)
Duration: 12+ month contract
Compensation: $70 - $80 hr

Lead Information Security Operations Analyst (w/Vulnerability Penetration Experience)

Responsibilities:


Lead Information Security Operations Analyst to oversee and enhance our Security Operations Center (SOC). This role will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats, ensuring compliance with security policies, and leading a team of security analysts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, incident response, and threat intelligence, coupled with leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Security Operations Analysts, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
  • Develop and implement security monitoring strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
  • Conducts multi-telemetry-based threat investigations to identify cyber threats coming both internally and externally of the organization.
  • Provides infrastructure teams with incident support, including mitigating actions to contain activity and advisory for remedial actions.
  • Works with threat detection content development teams to enhance/tune detection platforms, and create new e detection content
  • Carries out root cause analysis and investigations to advise on prevention mechanisms and configuration changes.

  • Collaborate with IT, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure security best practices.
  • Maintain and enhance SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems and other security tools.
  • Investigate security incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging security threats and mitigation techniques.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams.
  • Prepare and present security reports to senior management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security operations.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Proficiency in incident response, threat hunting, and forensic analysis.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.) is a plus.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
