System Administrator Level 2

Position Summary
DarkStar Intelligence is seeking System Administrators to provide Cross Domain Service Solutions to over 40 system domains.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
FLSA Status: Full-Time
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly
Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
Position Type: On-Site
Salary Range: $135K - $145K

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
  • Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Top Secret/SCI w/Polygraph
  • Eligibility requires meeting the specified experience and education criteria for each level.
  • Required Experience Level 2:
    • Fourteen Twelve (12) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
    • Ten (10) years' experience in the design, plan, installation, configuration, and sustainment of a Red Hat Linux (RHEL) environment.
    • Ten (10) years' experience in the creation of automation scripts for configuration, backup, and restoration using well know scripting languages (for example bash/Perl).
    • Three (3) years' experience in implementing OS level clustering.
    • Five (5) years' experience performing Puppet system administration.
    • Five (5) years' experience installing software from YUM repositories, RPM Files, tar-balls, or source code.
    • Ten (10) years' experience in researching, acquiring, and applying IAVA patches.
    • Eight (8) years' experience in using Unix/Linux command line.
    • Five (5) years' experience with VMWare architecture, Installation and configuration. Experience with facilitating failover with VMotion, VMWare template library, and VMWare monitoring capability.
    • Required Education Level 2:
      • Bachelor s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
      • Twelve (12) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor s degree.
