What you'll achieve

As an Engineering Technician 5, you will work closely with Electrical, Mechanical and Thermal engineering peers developing IT Data Center Rack Infrastructure solutions prototyping and validating hardware and software components.

Essential Requirements
  • LAB MANAGEMENT SKILLS
    • Lab Material (Inventory Tracking, and Ordering)
    • Lab Space (Organizing, and ensuring compliance with Lab Safety and ESD Best Practices)
    • Lab Infrastructure Upgrades (in conjunction with Dell Facilities Procedures and policies)
  • MECHANICAL SKILLS
    • Prototype Assembly of Mechanical Prototypes
    • Documentation of Prototyping Findings (Form/Fit/Function analysis)
  • ELECTRICAL SKILLS
    • Electronic Component Soldering (assembly and rework)
    • Electrical Cable Harness Prototyping
    • Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) Prototyping and Debug
  • COMMUNICATION
    • Excellent Written and Oral communication skills

Desirable Requirements
  • SOFTWARE / FW SKILLS
    • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Software Scripting to allow automation of interfacing electronic test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, electronic loads, temperature and pressure measurement equipment/sensors)

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $37.60/hr - $48.65/hr.
