As an enabler of Enterprise Strategic Priority for Medicare Advantage Growth for Cigna, This program will drive a competitive administrative cost structure while delivering consistent, compliant operational performance. This will be accomplished through the implementation of a new operating model - transformation across people, process, and technology.

On the Application Development Senior Advisor role, the associate would lead the contractor developers, collaborate with provider digital vendor and other internal Cigna ecosystem to develop a robust solution that enables Provider Digital delivery.

The individual is expected to ramp-up quickly to understand the landscape of the project, understand the architecture and lead the team to ensure successful provider delivery for the program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of user interfaces, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Utilize JavaScript and React to build and maintain custom applications, leveraging Availity UI and reporting components.
  • Configure and customize the Availity Essentials portal, including news and resource links, as well as additional SSO links.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Gateway, USMIS, and OSS, to integrate EDI (batch and real-time) and REST APIs.
  • Support potential future integration efforts, such as the integration between Availity and the Symplr file intake process for Provider Data Management.

Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in UI design and development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript with deep understanding of the React library.
  • Experience with EDI (batch and real-time) integration.
  • Familiarity with REST API integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead complex integration projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively with diverse technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with the Availity SDK for custom application development and portal configuration.
  • Previous involvement in Provider Data Management processes.
  • Experience working with Symplr or similar Provider Data Management applications.
  • Familiarity with Provider data, particularly with payer-provider interactions.
