HOW AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $27.82 - $34.50. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

HOW AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- The Administrative Assistant (AA) will share responsibility in supporting these branches and officers as a member of the Front Office Staff consisting of a Chief, Deputy Chief, Chief of Staff and two Support Integration Officers
- The work of this position is as a travel coordinator for the Mission Center
- MC Travel Coordinators are required to process end to end travel requirements for customers, in coordination with 3 other Travel Coordinators, Sponsor Support Officers, and Sponsor Travel Services
- Although many requests are transactional, there is often an added level of complexity requiring critical thinking skills to ensure each travel requirement is appropriately addressed and seen through to completion
- As part of a unique Sponsor team, the MC Travel Coordinators are in a customer facing position and must collaborate to manage the multiple travel requests and requirements of the entire Mission Center
- The Travel Coordinators support senior leadership at the GS-15 and SIS level and must possess professional decorum and utilize discretion when performing their duties
- Solid verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently are required
- MC Travel Coordinators will need to have solid working knowledge of Outlook ( email and calendars), Sponsor Internal Communications Databases, Sponsor Travel Systems, and Sponsor Identity Systems
- Prior Sponsor experience and proficiency of listed systems is preferred
- The Travel Coordinator will be provided training on Specialized MC Travel System
- MC Travel Coordinators (TC) will be responsible for managing and executing end to end travel arrangements for all Staff and Contractors assigned to the MC or travelling for MC requirements
- TCs will be required to periodically compile and provide metrics to management regarding travel statistics (i.e. average processing time, number of trips arranged, etc.) as needed
- TCs must review and validate all travel arrangements and documents for completion and accuracy
- TCs will serve as the main Point of Contact for arranging travel for the MC's approximately 5,000 member staff and contractor cadre
- Travel load fluctuates depending on the time of year, but on average the TC team will coordinate travel for 30-40 travelers per week (average 8 -12 per TC when fully staffed)
- Travel requirements are CONUS and OCONUS, with a heavy focus on travel to challenging locations, and require close coordination with the Sponsor Air Support team
- Average travel requirements are minimally complex, but still require a keen eye for detail
- Travel for Senior Sponsor officers can become very complex due to the number of locations within a short period of time
- TCs provide travel arrangements utilizing unique identity procedures as necessary
- Other OJT can be done upon arrival as needed, but basic skills in Microsoft Outlook and MS Word are required
- The Administrative Assistant will have no supervisory responsibilities
- There is no requirement to TDY or travel to other buildings
- This position does not require any heavy lifting
- The position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
- The position requires High School Diploma and three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- The candidate must arrive no later than 8:30am, and additional hours are authorized if the AA needs to stay past 8 hours; the core hours of the office are 7:30am -5:30pm and will be covered by the team
- Candidate must be able to operate in a team environment as well as successfully work on their own
