Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Nexthink Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Nexthink dashboards, investigations, and campaigns focused on device performance and user experience optimization. The role requires strong technical expertise in Nexthink platform administration, IT infrastructure management, and automation strategies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive proactive maintenance initiatives, optimize digital employee experience (DEX), and ensure enterprise-wide system efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Nexthink Platform & Digital Experience Optimization

  • Design, implement, and maintain Nexthink dashboards for device health monitoring and user experience improvements.
  • Develop a device health scoring system to identify PC refresh candidates based on performance, age, failure trends, and user sentiment.
  • Drive proactive maintenance initiatives such as software updates, patching, and storage cleanup using predictive analytics.

Platform Administration & Automation

  • Analyze, configure, and administer Nexthink in alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement automation strategies to streamline operations and proactively address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with IT/Operations, Cyber Security, and Software Governance teams to optimize Nexthink usage across the organization.

Data-Driven Insights & Innovation

  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations that enhance efficiency and innovation.
  • Explore new ways to leverage Nexthink for data-driven decision-making and proactive solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance on monitoring best practices to improve enterprise-wide digital productivity.

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Deliver hands-on training and support to operations and engineering staff for Nexthink-related processes.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, IT service management trends, and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance systems and solutions.


Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years of experience in desktop/end-user systems engineering and administration in a large enterprise setting (30,000+ endpoints).
  • Proficiency in Nexthink platform administration, including configuration, monitoring, and automation for DEX optimization.
  • Scripting & Automation Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Ansible, Bash, NQL, PowerShell, Python, or related tools.
  • IT Infrastructure & Endpoint Management: Deep understanding of system performance monitoring, security compliance, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in Microsoft Analytics, Riverbed Aternity, ControlUp One as an alternative to Nexthink.
  • Familiarity with Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, Jamf, Active Directory, and M365.
  • Knowledge of network security policies, endpoint protection, and IT compliance standards.
  • Incident Prevention & Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to analyze data, detect patterns, and implement preventive solutions to minimize disruptions.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with personnel at all levels and external vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage productively with Operations, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Application, and Leadership teams.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team-driven environment.
