Senior Data Engineer

Job Description:

6-10 years in comparable position. Will design, develop, test, implement and maintain new and existing databases. Will create management methods and systems to access efficiently to information stored in databases. Will create functional requirements to modify databases and products as required by client needs. Will provide data management support, create reports on databases and will design and develop database architectures. Must have methods for problem solving, have strong database experience, including index strategies, performance tuning and optimization and stored procedures. Must be able to create reports and write complex statements for large scale databases. Needs to be a good communicator (both written and verbal), be able to plan technical solutions, be self-motivated and have the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Additional Job Details:

• Build solutions to move, validate, and transform data in C#, Python, R, and SQL
• Develop and apply data governance standards and create the automated processes to ensure adherence to them
• Contribute to an Agile software team to deliver results iteratively
• Study, analyze, and utilize large data sets
• Present approaches to internal management Coordinate with Corporate Risk organization, technology, and business partners to achieve desired objectives
• Provide model documentation for internal and external verification

What you have:

• Undergraduate or higher degree relating to the use of large data sets (computer science, finance, economics, math, physical sciences, etc.).
• Eight or more years professional experience SQL and at least one of the above programming languages
• Experience with data analysis, particularly with relational database systems, in a professional role
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, including a demonstrated ability to generate high quality model and procedural documentation Beneficial to Have:
• Experience with Google Cloud and BigQuery
• Experience with data and methods related to Anti-Money Laundering
