Detailed Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled JAMF 400 Lead to oversee the management and deployment of Apple devices across our retail stores. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with JAMF Pro, particularly in environments with over 85,000 devices. This role requires a deep understanding of Apple device management, automation, and security.
Technical Specifications:
JAMF Pro Expertise: Advanced knowledge of JAMF Pro, including automation functions, API integrations, and scripting (zsh, bash).
Device Management: Experience managing large-scale deployments of Apple devices (85,000+ devices).
Automation: Proficiency in creating and managing automation workflows using JAMF Pro.
Security: Strong understanding of Apple device security, including certificates, encryption, and compliance policies.
Scripting: Intermediate to advanced scripting skills (zsh, bash) for automation and reporting.
API Integration: Experience with JAMF Pro Classic API and JAMF Pro API for data management and automation.
Data Management: Ability to read, parse, and manage data using JSON and property list (.plist) files.
Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve device management issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the deployment, configuration, and management of Apple devices using JAMF Pro.
Develop and implement automation workflows to streamline device management processes.
Ensure the security and compliance of all Apple devices in retail environments.
Collaborate with IT and retail teams to support device rollouts and updates.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to device management and deployment.
Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users on JAMF Pro functionalities.
Maintain documentation of processes, configurations, and best practices.
Monitor and report on device performance, compliance, and security metrics.
Qualifications:
JAMF 400 Certification or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Apple device management.
Proven track record of managing large-scale Apple device deployments in retail environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
