IT Project Manager

Rezult Group continues to make great strides toward enhancing the technology services community nationwide. We are consistently looking for qualified professionals to join us in achieving success. Currently we are searching for an IT Project Manager to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy.

This is a Contract position, sitting onsite in Birmingham three times weekly.

Responsibilities:

Plan, direct, guide and implement various types of medium to large sized IT projects and programs, ensuring completion on time, within budget and within scope.

Use project management methodology and solution delivery method to ensure proper performance and execution.

Analyze technical and business processes and implement improvements.

Consistently provide visibility into projects and report progress of projects to management and governing bodies

Manage risks and issues that occur during project lifecycle including strategic direction.

Mentor, educate and train project teams and team members on project management best practices.

Analyze and review metrics and key performance indicators of various IT efforts across different solution demographics including size and risk.

Experience and Skills Required

At least 4 years of IT experience with at least 2 years being IT project management experience in a structured project environment.

Bachelor s degree, preferably in MIS or another technical degree

PMP Certification preferred. If candidate does not have one already, they will be required to obtain one within one year of hiring.

Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and hardware

Experience in project management techniques and methodologies

Experience using MS Project, MS Office or similar applications.

Proven experience leading and working independently as an IT Project Manager on medium sized corporate projects or initiatives.

Experience with project planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting.

Experience with project risk and issue management

Solid communication and relationship building skills are a necessity.

Preferred

Experience as an IT functional subject matter expert (SME)

Hands-on coding experience

Experience in software engineering or IT Infrastructure
