RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Power BI Developer in Boca Raton, FL.
Overview:
The Senior Power BI role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet those requirements. It requires a strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and visualization techniques to create impactful and actionable insights for our business.
The ideal candidate requires a blend of advanced Power BI development expertise and hands-on experience with data engineering technologies to build and maintain high-quality data pipelines and solutions.
The Power BI Developer will also work closely with our team of data engineers to build scalable and efficient data pipelines, optimize data storage and retrieval processes, and deliver insightful analytics solutions to our stakeholders.
Job Functions:
* Provide technical guidance and support to the data teams, can understand or make architectural decisions, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring adherence to best practices and standards
* Demonstrate the ability to analyze complex situations, identify issues, and propose effective solutions
* Engage in prototyping, designing, developing, and publishing Power BI reports and dashboards
* Establish and maintain report and dashboard best practices using standardized templates
* Assist data engineers in developing data models to support key business decisions
* Implement security in reports and dashboards in accordance with security and access requirements
* Collaborate closely with Director of PMO, Vice President IT, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment and communication throughout the SDLC process
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in business analytics tools developing reporting and dashboards
* 3+ years of experience in reporting and analytics using Power BI, including M Query, DAX, Data Modelling, and Row-Level Security (RLS)
* Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Databricks and related components
* Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes using Apache Spark
* Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Scala
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
