Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced AWS RDS/Postgres EDB Database Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing Postgres databases (EDB ecosystem) in AWS, ensuring performance, security, and scalability for a Bankingbankingrindustryt.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage AWS RDS/Postgres databases, including installation, migration, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Implement and maintain database best practices for coding, performance, and security.
- Optimize database performance using indexing, partitioning, and other techniques.
- Oversee AWS operations (S3, EC2, IAM) and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- Lead database migrations (on-prem to AWS and vice versa).
- Utilize tools like Jira, GitHub, Ansible, and Terraform for database management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of Postgres database experience (5+ years in AWS).
- Expertise in AWS RDS services, high availability, and security configurations.
- Proficiency in Linux OS, performance tuning, and automation tools.
- Familiarity with Lambda, Python, and database monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
