Job Overview
We are seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer to join a clinical surveillance team responsible for building and maintaining applications that support infection prevention, clinical decision support, and mandated reporting. This role involves working with hospital medical record systems, processing critical patient data, and supporting reporting automation for regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in modern .NET Core development, front-end React development, and working within an Agile Scrum environment. This role requires strong coding, testing, and troubleshooting skills with a 50/50 split between backend and frontend development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain clinical surveillance applications using C#/.NET Core and React.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests for applications, coordinating with the QA team for end-to-end testing.
- Support both new development (greenfield) and modernization of legacy applications (brownfield).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, UI/UX designers, and clinical domain experts.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.
- Work with SQL databases, troubleshooting and optimizing queries as needed.
- Support containerization efforts using Kubernetes for modernized application deployments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity to automate builds and deployments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and best practices in healthcare software development.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in software development with C#/.NET (including .NET Core).
Strong front-end development experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience writing unit and integration tests (using NUnit, Jest, or similar frameworks).
Familiarity with SQL databases, including writing queries and troubleshooting performance issues.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in code reviews.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in a complex, data-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with healthcare applications, clinical data processing, or HIPAA compliance.
Familiarity with legacy .NET applications (Web Forms) and transitioning to modern frameworks.
Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
Background in automated testing and test-driven development (TDD).
