JOB DESCRIPTION
Client is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking technologies, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to ensure network security and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Design & Implementation:
    • Design and deploy network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
    • Implement and configure network infrastructure to support organizational needs.
  • Network Management:
    • Monitor network performance and reliability using various network management tools.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and outages.
  • Security:
    • Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and updates to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Maintenance & Upgrades:
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, backups, and patch management.
    • Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to accommodate growth and new technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • 5-10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
    • Proven experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
    • Experience with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and network management tools.
    • Familiarity with network security principles and technologies.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
    • CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
