Job Details
We are looking for a a SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) for one of our clients. Their responsibilities include:
- Database management: Installing, configuring, upgrading, and tuning database systems on premise and Cloud.
- Database security: Ensuring security measures are in place and controlling and monitoring user access to the database.
- Database performance: Optimizing database performance and ensuring high levels of availability and sustainability.
- Database backup and recovery: Performing database backup and recovery, including periodic testing
- Database monitoring: Upgrading, configuring, and maintaining server and database monitoring software
- Disaster recovery: Reviewing, testing, updating, and documenting disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Database documentation: Creating documentation for all procedures and systems.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with other technology professionals to deliver reports to leadership.
- On-call support: Being available for on-call support as needed.
- Experience with Government cloud is a big plus.
- Any healthcare experience in govt sector preferred. ** This is hybrid role in Houston, TX.** No sponsorship for any visa are provided at this time.
