Job Description

Responsibility Level: Possesses complete technical competence on multi-vendor systems such as, Schneider, Delta Controls, Alerton, Tridium, JCI Metasys, Distech, Trane and the ability to resolve or guide others through very complex problem resolution. Customer interaction is in-depth and proactive to include a complete understanding of current systems working within the Niagara Framework and the foresight to recommend and plan for enhancements.

Principle Duties:

Provides solutions to very complex HVAC system problems either troubleshooting the system or advising others on how to resolve problems. Requires thorough understanding of systems software to write or recommend modifications to programs as needed.

Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.

Complete all administrative duties on time.

Coordinate work activities with FES Service Operations Coordinator.

Continuous proactive customer interaction including an in-depth understanding of customer(s) needs wants and systems currently in place. Plans for future needs with customer which includes recommending complete systems enhancements and promoting the sale of add-on work.

Conducts intense self-study (reading, research, practice) to maintain the highest technical proficiency in the company's product lines.

Assists engineering and sales by providing technical recommendations to produce job layouts and bid proposals.

Assists in monitoring project execution per plan, budget monies, time, and customer satisfaction. Report s problems or changes to management.

Other duties related to the commissioning and servicing of building controls and facilities management systems as assigned.

Requirements:

Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field. Degree may be offset by five years experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems. Five to seven years of increasingly responsible experience in servicing electronic control and HVAC equipment. Ability to act independently and to coordinate the work of others on a job site. Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts. Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people. PC experience required and the ability to program software.
