Job Title: BI REPORTING ENGINEER

Job Description:

We are looking for a Data Engineer to build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and data integration systems that support the business intelligence and reporting needs.

Overview:

The ideal candidate should have expertise in designing robust ETL processes, integrating complex datasets from multiple sources (including SAP), and ensuring data quality and consistency across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud-based data warehousing and Microsoft technologies. Should have experience around BI Report Development to create interactive and actionable reports using Microsoft Power BI. The candidate should have experience in transforming data into meaningful insights.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from SAP and other enterprise systems.
  • Implement and maintain data models that support reporting and analytics use cases.
  • Integrate and optimize data pipelines to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and available in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture documentation, including data flow diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Perform data validation, transformation, and cleansing to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize data integration processes.
  • Develop scripts for data automation and schedule jobs to streamline data processing workflows.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues with data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Develop Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
  • Create a semantic reporting model to support reporting use cases.
  • Optimize Power BI solutions for performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and iterate on report designs.
  • Document report logic and data sources for future reference.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on ETL and data integration projects.
  • Experience in creating semantic models for business intelligence.
  • Proficiency in DAX.
  • Strong attention to detail and data visualization skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Experience in integrating SAP data and developing ETL processes for SAP systems.
  • Strong expertise in using Microsoft Azure Data Factory or similar cloud-based ETL tools.
  • Experience in building and maintaining data warehouses in a cloud environment (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with Power BI data models and semantic layers.
  • Proven ability to optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.
