- We are a multi-faceted software development team working to build and maintain software applications backed by a self-managed cloud infrastructure with a true big-data footprint (over 10 petabytes)
- Our diverse background of experience in mission support and software development serves as a catalyst to solve unique and challenging intelligence problems in support of special operations analysts and their on-going activities.
- Prototyping and frequent, iterative feedback are core to our delivery approach, anchored by a need to work quickly in support of our missions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Utilize your expertise in backend languages such as Python, Java, or C# to design and implement robust software solutions. Experience with web frameworks like Django, FastAPI, and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular will be instrumental in developing user-friendly interfaces and APIs.
- Data Processing and Infrastructure: Lead initiatives involving big data technologies such as Spark, DeltaLake, and HDFS to handle large-scale data processing and analytics. Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools (e.g., Docker, Ansible) is essential for maintaining a self-managed cloud infrastructure supporting over 10 petabytes of data.
- Agile Development: Embrace agile methodologies to deliver prototypes and iterate quickly based on mission feedback. Your ability to prototype and adapt solutions rapidly will be critical in meeting dynamic mission requirements.
- Collaboration and Mission Support: Work closely with government task leaders, analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand mission objectives and translate them into technical solutions. Your contributions will directly support special operations activities aimed at safeguarding national security interests.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development and engineering roles using Python and Java or C#.
- Proven expertise in backend and frontend technologies, web frameworks, and database management (relational and NoSQL).
- Strong familiarity with DevOps practices, automation tools, and cloud infrastructure management (Docker, Ansible)
- Willingness to work onsite in Springfield, VA.
