Overview

We are seeking a full-time Electrical/Design Engineer - Outdoor in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic circuits, equipment, systems, and products.

Essential Functions
  • Proficiently use troubleshooting and general EE tools (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, schematic design and PCB layout programs, etc.)
  • Perform as a technical leader or Project Engineer for wearable or handheld consumer electronic products, following established procedures
  • Design print circuit boards to meet product requirements
  • Source and analyze appropriate components to meet electrical engineering design needs
  • Test electrical circuits and document the test results
  • Find technical root cause and suggest corrective action for given problems
  • Work with the factory team to understand design impacts on manufacturability
  • Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide comments and suggestions on some electrical design aspects in design reviews

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor`s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Demonstrated ability with application of design standards and procedures to design and develop moderately complex analog, digital and/or RF designs including simulations, schematics, PCB layouts and evaluation
  • Demonstrated ability with electrical engineering tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design impacts on manufacturability

Desired Qualifications
  • Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
  • Previous work or internship experience with circuit design for consumer or aviation products
