Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position can be worked remotely. This individual will work closely with the Principal Architect to expand and enhance our Enterprise Architecture Practice. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise architecture methodologies and will contribute to shaping our strategic IT framework to support business objectives.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Principal Architect: Partner with the Principal Architect to refine and implement strategic architectural initiatives.
Develop Enterprise Architecture Practice: Enhance the maturity and efficacy of the enterprise architecture practice through innovative strategies and methodologies.
Artifact Creation: Take a lead role in the development and maintenance of architectural artifacts that support decision-making processes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and align enterprise strategies with business goals.
Modeling and Information Provision: Utilize advanced modeling techniques to represent enterprise architectures, processes, and information flows.
Technology Research: Continuously research emerging technologies and trends to determine their potential impact and integration into the enterprise architecture.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential architectural risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the stability and security of IT systems.
Training and Mentoring: Contribute to the growth of the architecture team by mentoring junior architects and leading knowledge sharing sessions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience or Master's degree with 3 years' experience or HS Diploma/equivalent and 9 years of experience in an enterprise architecture role
Proven success in architecting and implementing Enterprise Service Management Platform Solutions.

SME knowledge in two or more service areas: Incident Management, Asset Management, Service Catalog Management, Configuration Management, Release Management, Service and Event Monitoring, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management.

Demonstrable Strength in Enterprise Architecture: Strong foundation in EA principles, frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman), and practices with a focus on building sustainable business value.
Advanced Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex information, identify trends, and propose solutions that align with business strategies.

Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Effective at communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Technical Proficiency: Sufficient technical background to interact with IT subject matter experts (SMEs) and integrate their insights into comprehensive architectural plans.
Leadership and Teamwork: Experience in driving efforts to completion and collaborating within cross-functional teams in a high-paced environment.
U.S. Citizenship Required; must have an active Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in Zachman, TOGAF, or EACOE.
ITIL 4
Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
