Overview
This is a remote role that may only be hired in North Carolina.
This position is responsible for managing a team of highly technical network engineers focused on Data Center Core Infrastructure. The candidate will oversee the implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of data center network components-including Cisco ACI, Cisco SDWAN, complex route/switch configurations, partner connectivity and route advertisement, vulnerability remediation, and incident management. In addition to team leadership, the ideal candidate will be expected to perform direct integration work as an active member of the team and serve as the technical representative on key projects. This role requires a hands-on approach to solving intricate network issues and outages, as well as the ability to articulate technical concepts to both internal teams and external partners.
Candidates should come equipped with substantial pre-existing technical experience in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-level network solutions. Industry certifications from Cisco, AWS, Google, or similar organizations are highly desired.

- 10% - Design, consulting, and project support
- 10% - Vision, roadmaps, and strategy
- 50% - Implementation, testing, and build out
- 30% - Tier 4 support escalation

- Advanced network design and support experience in:
- Cisco edge and datacenter layer 2/3 devices
- WAN and edge routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF)
- Cisco ACI / leaf and spine
- SD-WAN
- Cloud connectivity
- Multi carrier circuit management (MPLS, direct internet, WAVE, data center interconnects)
- Incident command / incident support
