Position: Junior Database Administrator (only W2)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA and Lake Mary, FL (3 days' on-site hybrid required)
Experience Level: Junior Level

We're looking for someone with a data background (Data Analytics, Database Management, Data Engineering), who is interested learning Snowflake Cloud Database. The individual will begin by leveraging the experience in SQL and programming skills in Python and be taught Snowflake Cloud Database skills on the job. This is a great role for someone who wants to grow career in Database (Snowflake Cloud).

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways

  • Manage and administer Snowflake databases and warehouses for multiple environments.
  • Ensure high performance, availability, and security of the Snowflake platform.
  • Perform database creation, configuration, and optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for Snowflake administration.
  • Monitor and enhance performance, plan resource utilization, and implement automation for routine tasks.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement data solutions.
  • Manage user access, roles, and security configurations.
  • Stay updated with the latest Snowflake features and updates.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • ??? Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
  • ?1-2+ years of post-graduate experience (or internship experience during degree could be acceptable)
  • 1-2 years of experience with SQL, developing and debugging queries.
  • Must have solid data structure understanding - how data works, how tables, spaces and relational data works (tabular and columns).
  • Must have experience/understanding of how Cloud environment work. Bonus if they have experience deploying in a cloud.
  • Experience with 1 or more scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Shell script) required - ideally Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.?
  • Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline creation a bonus.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) a bonus.
