Job Description:
Under general direction, the Manufacturing Engineer supports the efficient manufacturing of existing products and introduction of new products through the entire process from concept to customer; with a focus on the manufacturing deliverables that impact the operations.
Prepare recommendations and analyses for the development of new or improved manufacturing processes to execute sustainable breakthrough and cost out improvements. Establish manufacturing standard time values and gather data for the analysis of manufacturing processes and costs on complex and involved projects and make recommendation from the analysis. This position is a fundamental part of our engineering team located in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven project experience, as well as someone who exhibits the drive for continuous improvement. This position works independently and uses highly developed engineering expertise and project management abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Lead mid to high level manufacturing projects, providing direction, guidance and engineering expertise to team members.
- Facilitate project flow involving regular contact with engineering, manufacturing and other cross functional teams.
- Drive and project manage major strategic cost, quality and delivery initiatives with aggressive focus on breakthrough process and technology improvements to achieve a substantial competitive advantage.
- Implement Capital Projects; track project schedule to ensure adherence to timelines.
- Lead new product development processes to support product strategy and product roadmap.
- Schedule, develop agendas to facilitate and document project meetings.
- Deliver formal presentations to leadership regarding project status.
Manufacturing / Suppliers
- Investigate and develop component material and process recommendations.
Interact with suppliers to develop product and process specifications that meet or exceed. - Performance requirements while also achieving best in class manufacturing process capabilities.
- Process Design Analysis
- Perform a wide variety of calculations and software aided analysis.
- Mechanical stress analysis, material and heat treat selection, Design of Experiments (DOE), FMEA, statistical data analysis and other engineering tools. A creative and innovative approach to problem solving is critical to be successful in this position.
- Provide multiple what-if scenarios to find best total cost solution. Well rounded understanding of financial impacts.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent years of directly related experience
- Minimum three years related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum one year project management experience

- Lean and Kaizen experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
