Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Analyst with expertise in Meter Data Management (MDM) and hands-on experience with ITRON IEE. The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing, configuring, and supporting MDM solutions for utility clients, ensuring seamless data integration, analysis, and operational efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of metering systems, data management, and utility industry processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise in ITRON IEE Meter Data Management (MDM) system implementation, configuration, and maintenance.
Develop and optimize MDM solutions to support accurate data collection, validation, estimation, and editing (VEE) processes.
Assist in the integration of MDM with AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), billing systems, and other utility applications.
Analyze meter data workflows, troubleshoot system issues, and provide resolutions to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and utility stakeholders to define and document business and functional requirements.
Support data migration, transformation, and validation efforts during MDM implementations.
Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to monitor metering performance and data accuracy.
Provide technical support and training to end users and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with utility industry standards, regulations, and security policies.
Participate in requirements gathering workshops around validation rules, estimations, and rates configuration in IEE.
Required Skills
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working with ITRON IEE Meter Data Management (MDM) solutions.
Strong understanding of metering systems, AMI, smart grid technologies, and utility operations.
Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and data querying to analyze and manipulate meter data.
Hands-on experience in IEE/Itron and MDM.
Extensive experience in IEE modules ARI, ABE, IDM, and web service interrogations
Extensive technical skills in IEE, SQL Server, XML, and web services.
Experience with system integrations, APIs, and web services for data exchange between MDM and other utility applications.
Knowledge of VEE processes, meter reads, and billing data validation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Experience working in electric, gas, or water utilities.
Familiarity with other MDM systems, such as Oracle MDM, Landis+Gyr, or Siemens EnergyIP, a plus
Knowledge of utility billing systems, CIS (Customer Information Systems), and SCADA.
Experience with cloud-based MDM solutions and data analytics tools.
