The Sr. Global Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategic and financial performance of their respective product platform through comprehensive and timely Marketing and Product strategy development and execution.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and execution of marketing and product strategies to achieve or exceed the business unit objectives of commercialization and growth for the handhelds Platform. This will include analyzing market and customer information, identifying new product innovations, optimizing product portfolio, launching new products and line extensions, pricing strategies and guidelines, etc.
  • Support the Global Product Development System (GPDS) process as a core team member. Accountable for completion of respective marketing deliverables to ensure commercial excellence through collaborative efforts with all levels of other functional areas (e.g., R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, etc.). Use fact-based data to inform key decisions, driving timely decision-making even in the face of incomplete information.
  • Develop a global marketing and related commercialization plan for the assigned product platform that defines "how to win," including evidence generation, marketing communications, pricing strategies, promotional strategies, market development, and customer-facing associate training.
  • Utilize and activate principles of segmentation, targeting and value proposition development.
  • Develops content and strategies for promotional materials and programs including sales aids, advertising, digital campaigns, and external events, working with the Omnichannel Marketing team.
  • Contribute to market, therapeutic area, unmet needs and pipeline assessments in collaboration with the Strategic Business Insights team to inform situation analysis, market segmentation (e.g., Market Atlas) and analyze key trends and critical market growth segments.
  • Recommend and lead marketing mix to optimize brand activation, share of voice and spend levels for the defined areas of responsibility, in collaboration with Omnichannel Marketing and Regional Marketing.
  • Develop value proposition and segment-specific pricing guidance to maximize revenue and grow margin per customer.
  • Effectively partner with sales, regional marketing, Commercial Excellence and other functions to execute the Marketing Plan in line with business performance, vision, strategy and goals.
  • Provide adequate and appropriate training and direction to Commercial Development, regional marketing and sales. Informs customer targeting strategy for the product platform and actively participates in customer-facing activities, as needed, to accelerate customer capture.
  • Analyze business results including market share, buying process, promotional results, market research findings, competitive activity, etc. to inform portfolio and go-to-market strategies.
  • Provide product expertise for product marketing and brand management knowledge, experience, tools and guidance in the development of sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

  • Experience using internal phase-gate product development processes and market research and segmentation methodology preferred.
  • Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive and detailed marketing plans.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Proven ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills, and can work internationally with diverse cultures.
  • Negotiates and engages fearlessly in constructive challenge.


About You:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Technical Discipline; MBA highly preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in a marketing, strategy or related function within healthcare, medical device and/or related industry.
  • Pharmaceutical industry and/or medical device experience preferred.
