Job description
- We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Test Engineer to join us, focusing on testing components for cutting-edge products using JavaScript for functional testing and Python scripting. As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of consumer products on System health.
- In this role, the primary responsibility of the individual will be to work closely with hardware design engineers in testing, troubleshooting, deploying, maintaining, and supporting the platform.
- You will conduct analyses to identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and/or debug power-related technical issues. You may work on multiple issues at any point of time, so, systematic tracking and updating of status is expected. The environment is fast-paced and requires cross-functional interaction daily. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive automated test suites using Python and JavaScript testing frameworks to validate the performance and reliability of system engineering.
- Create and execute performance tests to measure key metrics such as response times, throughput, resource utilization, and battery life.
- Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks, optimize code, and improve system efficiency.
- Develop and implement performance testing strategies that align with project objectives and quality standards.
- Collaborate with software engineers and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and identify potential performance issues.
- Utilize profiling tools and techniques to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize code.
- Document and report on test results in a clear and concise manner, including recommendations for improvements.
Basic qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript programming languages with a focus on performance optimization and testing frameworks.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.
- Knowledge of system architecture and performance metrics (e.g., CPU usage, memory consumption, network latency).
- Understanding of battery technology and testing methodologies (e.g., discharge rate, capacity testing).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meticulously document test results.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
