The Role

We're seeking a creative and technically-minded student software engineer to join our founding team. You'll work directly with senior engineers to build delightful features using modern web technologies, focusing on smooth animations, micro-interactions, and pixel-perfect implementation.

What You'll Do

  • Implement charming user interfaces using PixiJS and modern JavaScript

  • Create smooth, playful animations and transitions using Tweenjs

  • Develop and optimize particle systems for ambient effects

  • Collaborate with designers to bring pixel art assets to life

  • Write clean, maintainable code with proper documentation

  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in Computer Science or related program

  • Strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)

  • Basic understanding of 2D graphics and animation concepts

  • Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively in English

  • Eye for detail and appreciation for polished user experiences

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with PixiJS, Tweenjs, or similar game development libraries

  • Interest in pixel art and creative coding

  • Previous work on personal game or creative coding projects

  • Basic understanding of WebGL and canvas performance optimization

  • Experience with real-time multiplayer applications
