About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Serverless Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available serverless applications on AWS. In this role, you will leverage your deep knowledge of AWS cloud services, serverless technologies, and modern architectural patterns to guide teams in building innovative solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects and drive cloud-native transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design serverless solutions using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
- Develop and enforce best practices for serverless application design, performance optimization, and security.
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK, AWS SAM, or Terraform.
- Lead the migration of existing monolithic or microservices-based architectures to serverless architectures.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure successful delivery and deployment of serverless applications.
- Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate serverless deployments.
- Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and cost-optimization assessments.
- Stay up-to-date with AWS services, new technologies, and serverless trends to continuously improve architectural approaches.
- Document architectural decisions, diagrams, and technical standards.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and design, with a strong focus on AWS serverless technologies.
- Proven experience with AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, S3, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK, AWS SAM, or Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Deep understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and API security.
- Strong background in building resilient, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Amazon CloudWatch, X-Ray, and AWS Config.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills, and the ability to lead technical discussions.

- Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous communication patterns.
- Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, ECS, or EKS).
- Familiarity with GraphQL APIs and tools like AWS AppSync.
- Experience with serverless monitoring tools like Lumigo, Datadog, or New Relic.
