DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician to join our Team at our Hodgkins, IL.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Performs routine building maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
  • Assists in a wide variety of maintenance activities;
  • Addresses immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and ensures that tools, materials, and vehicles are maintained in good working order.
  • Maintains safe work habits and actions in all aspects of the daily task;
  • Evaluates reactive work for safety issues, plan projects so that safety is key, and reviews preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety hurdles.
  • Utilizes software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance work and building management systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • Must be 21 years old with 2 years driving experience
  • This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
  • Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:
  • Basic Electrical Knowledge: Understanding circuits, wiring, and how to troubleshoot electrical issues safely.
  • Plumbing Skills: Familiarity with pipe systems, drainage, and repair techniques for leaks and clogs.
  • Handyman Skills: Proficiency in basic carpentry, drywall repair, and general building maintenance.
  • Safety Procedures: Understanding safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe tool handling and Tools and Equipment:
  • Familiarity with a range of tools (hand and power tools) and how to use and maintain them safely.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
