Senior Wireless Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Wireless Engineer to manage and support campus and Wide Area Wi-Fi, troubleshooting, and Level 3 operational support for the campus and wide area Wi-Fi networks.

Position Responsibilities

• Providing Engineering design and implementations for data, voice, and/or video services.
• Design, implementation and support complex Wi-Fi networks.
• Provisioning and troubleshooting wide area services.
• Diagnosing and resolving equipment configuration and network problems.
• Monitoring network faults and performance.
• Monitoring and optimizing advanced network and system performance.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, configuration templates, design validation reports, and testing plans.
• Conducting knowledge transfers on new/upgraded technologies and services to Level 2 Network Configuration Management and Level 3 Network Systems Engineering staff.
• Design, test, and implement new Wi-Fi deployments and upgrades based on project requirements.
• Coordinating work on projects including assigning and scheduling tasks.
• Implementing best practices and applicable information security/information assurance policies and principles in the delivery of network services.

Position Requirements

Over ten (10) years of experience in managing and supporting campus and wide area Wi-Fi networks.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches, Cisco IOS and routing protocols EIGRP, and TCP/IP, IEEE 802.x Ethernet, IPSec, and Wireless networking.
• Sound knowledge and experience supporting Cisco and Aruba Wireless issues.
• Knowledge of Netflow and NMS systems.

The following experience and certifications are strongly preferred:

• Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA)
• Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP)
• CWNE
