Responsibilities of the Estimator:
- Create accurate and detailed cost estimates for plumbing construction projects.
- Evaluate project plans, specifications, and related documents to identify requirements.
- Perform site visits to collect crucial information for precise estimating.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data for estimates.
- Oversee the bid strategy and proposal process, both internally and externally, by conducting competitive analyses and preparing pricing proposals.
- Carry out risk assessments, develop estimates, and determine equipment and material needs.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing.
- Review and assess contract documents to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Requirements of Estimator:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing construction estimating or a related position.
- Experience in HVAC estimating is a plus.
- A bachelor s degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully estimating projects while staying within budget constraints.
- Experience managing multiple bids throughout the entire bidding process.
- Proficient in interpreting and comprehending drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Salary:
$110,000-$115,000 per year
