Point-of-Sale Technical Manager (Oracle Xstore)
We have an immediate need for a Point-of-Sale Technical Manager to join our client for a contract-to-hire position that will be hybrid in Phoenix, AZ. This position will oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of Oracle Xstore Point of Sale (POS) systems. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the omnichannel retail industry.
Location: Hybrid, 3 days on site in Phoenix, AZ
This job expects to pay about $65-75/hr / $140,000- 165,000 plus benefits
What You Will Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of developers working on Oracle Xstore POS projects from both onsite and offshore.
- Define technical strategies, coding standards, and best practices. Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Design, develop, and implement customizations and enhancements to the Xstore POS system.
- Integrate Xstore with back-office systems, payment gateways, and other third-party services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Xstore POS functionality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Plan and manage project timelines, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards. Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to project stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA, and operations teams.
- Provide technical training and guidance to team members.
What Gets You The Job:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years working on Oracle Xstore POS Suite (Xadmin, Xcenter, Xservices, Xenvironment, Xstore, xMobile, Tablet)
- Experience with Xstore customizations, configurations, UI Changes, locale changes, handling DB issues, POS deployment, debugging the code, issue fixing, device configurations, data mapping
- Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, and related frameworks.
- Experience with API development (REST/SOAP) and integrations.
- Familiarity with databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with system integration methods (APIs, ETL, etc.) and middleware platforms.
- Familiarity with retail operations, including sales, inventory, and customer service workflows.
