Description:
Our client is seeking a Lead Cable Technician to help their growing project load on the eastern shore of Maryland. They support large ISP clients including college campuses, apartment buildings, retirement communities, and construction venues. The Lead Technician will be a part of a team involved with various projects.
Our client is a design/build system integrator as their core business focuses on WiFi, Fiber, Structured Cabling, DAS, Public Safety DAS and other Low Voltage Networks and Systems.
On a day to day basis the Lead Technician will be reporting to a construction site on the eastern shore. They will be responsible for pulling, terminating, and testing low volt cables. They will be in commercial office buildings pulling cables through ceilings, walls, racking and stacking in the closet, and dressing and labeling the cables. They will also be responsible for installing the internet and phone jacks in businesses. Once all the equipment is installed they will need to be able to test and troubleshoot if a system isn't connected properly.
We are looking for somebody who is interested in advancing their career in the Telecommunications industry. Our clients has a career path that can lead to promotion (they have a team of Foremen, Construction Managers, and Project Managers). Technicians will have the opportunity to do fiber and wireless work.
Top Skills Details:
1) 4+ years of low volt cable experience (ISP experience preferred).
2) Experience pulling, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low volt cables.
3) Experience estimating small jobs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00
