We re seeking a DynamoDB Rock Star someone who literally lives, eats, and breathes DynamoDB to join our remote team as a Senior Full Stack Engineer. If you ve mastered single-table design patterns, global secondary indexes, and know the ins and outs of high-performance, large-scale DynamoDB deployments, we want to hear from you.

What You ll Work On

DynamoDB Mastery

Single-Table Design & Data Modeling: Craft efficient schemas using single-table design patterns, ensuring seamless data access with minimal overhead.

Global Secondary Index (GSI) Strategy: Configure and optimize GSIs to manage read/write capacities effectively while minimizing hot partitions.

Scalability & Auto-Scaling: Configure auto-scaling policies for both read and write throughput, ensuring reliable performance during traffic spikes.

Monitoring & Alerts: Leverage AWS CloudWatch and other observability tools to track metrics (e.g., throttling, latency, consumed read/write units), set up alarms, and proactively address performance bottlenecks.

DynamoDB Streams & Event-Driven Architecture: Integrate Streams to facilitate real-time data processing, enable microservice communication, and maintain event-driven workflows.

Backup & Restore Strategies: Implement automated backups, point-in-time recovery (PITR), and versioned restore plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

Table TTL & Data Lifecycle Management: Utilize Time to Live (TTL) to efficiently manage data expiration and reduce storage costs.

Security & Access Control: Apply AWS IAM best practices, fine-grained access control, encryption at rest and in transit, and Cognito or JWT-based authorization for secure data operations.

Cost Optimization: Leverage on-demand vs. provisioned capacity modes, optimize for hot partitions, and reduce overhead through advanced data modeling tactics.

Requirements

U.S. Based: Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States.

5+ Years of Professional Experience: Solid background in full stack JavaScript (Node.js), with an expert-level understanding of DynamoDB.
