Summary: The Graduate Electrical Engineer position will work with an experienced team of electrical/ instrumentation/ control system engineers and designers who emphasize projects involving water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, standby power generator systems, area lighting, meter stations, pipeline interconnections, compressor stations, crude oil storage terminals, product loading terminals, etc.

Key Areas of Work:
  • Primary electrical distribution systems
  • Medium voltage distribution
  • Emergency and backup power generation systems
  • Instrumentation & Process Controls (I&C)
  • Lighting design
  • Motor starting analysis
  • Short circuit studies and arc flash analysis

General Responsibilities:
  • Assist with electrical design and documentation for infrastructure projects.
  • Gather and organize project information from internal teams as needed.
  • Prepare draft reports and technical memos using company templates for review by senior engineers.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and assist in the development of drawings and specifications.
  • Participate in modeling and analysis of electrical systems.
  • Learn and apply electrical engineering design principles, code compliance, and project standards.
  • Collaborate and communicate with project team members to support multi-disciplinary project delivery

Required Education/Licenses:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or actively planning to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam

Required Experience:
  • 0 to 2 years of post-graduate engineering experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Must be motivated to pursue and obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous engineering internship or co-op experience
  • Participation in student organizations such as IEEE, NSPE, or other professional/technical societies
  • Familiarity with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Microstation, SKM, or ETAP)
