NTT Data's client is currently seeking a Software Development Senior Specialist to join their team in Frisco, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing the business process and client requirements and modifying the modules according to the client requirements. Strong analytical skills is necessary.
- Programming/testing the application according to the requirements.
- Debugging and Testing of application programs.
- Preparation of test plans and effort estimates for the new requirements.
- Analyzing and fixing bugs in the existing system.
- Submitting requested status reports.
- Perform unit testing and preparing of unit test cases.
Programming Languages:
- Critical that for a developer they have experience with iSeries/AS400 and RPG and CL programming.
- RPG/400, RPG/RPGLE, CL/CLLE, AS/400 Query, SQL, FTP, QSH, some XML, JCL
- SEU
- PDM
- DFU
- SDA
- RLU
- Hawkeye
- Operating Systems: OS/400, Unix, Windows Family
- SDLC Process
- System Design and Implementation
- Testing and Debugging
- Code Optimization and Documentation
- Software Troubleshooting, Installation, and Upgrade
- Client Server Architecture
- Some System Administration
- Over 3+ years of IT experience in the Analysis, Design, Development, Debug and Testing of various applications.
- Over 3 years of technical expertise in RPG/400, CL/400, DB2/400, RPGIV, OS/400, RPGILE, SQL/400 and CLLE
- Strong analytical skills. Ability to reverse-engineer and understand existing code. Good, structured analytical skills with the ability o debug code, perform unit testing
- Expertise in Tools like SEU, SDA, PDM, DBU, DFU, RLU, QUERY/400.
- Strong Knowledge in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from analysis through maintenance.
- Extensively worked on AS400 Platforms
- Expertise in programming and developing procedures.
- Possess good, structured, analytical skill with focus on debugging techniques, Unit Testing and Testing of application programs.
- Good working knowledge in writing SQL queries and able to understand the database, database relation, DSPF's, PRTF's and IFS
- Able to work in enhancement, maintenance, and production support projects.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is $50 to $57. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
