Piper Companies is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to join a cutting-edge decision science security organization. The Lead Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for designing robust cybersecurity measures and access management solutions to protect the organization's systems and data.

Responsibilities of the Lead Cybersecurity Engineer include:
- Design robust cybersecurity measures and access management solutions to protect the organization's systems and data.
- Lead the implementation, operationalization, or optimization of projects in support of the cybersecurity program.
- Advise on a wide range of engineering and operational security issues, including security detection and response procedures.
- Assist the Security Operations team in responding to security incidents, ensuring a swift and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to manage access control processes and application integration.
- Work closely with the GRC team on the development and implementation of standards, operating procedures, and controls.
- Coordinate and document exemptions to established security controls.
- Assist with external information security audits for regulatory compliance and assessments suc h as penetration testing.
Qualifications for the Lead Cybersecurity Engineer include:
- 10+ years of experience in implementing and supporting cybersecurity programs.
- Excellent experience implementing and supporting Identity and Access management products and processes (Okta/SailPoint)
- Must have experience with Data Governance
- Experience working in small SOC team/Incident Command environments
- Proficient understanding of Information technology systems and processes, network infrastructure, data architecture, data processes, and protocols.
- Experience operating within NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, CMMC, or equivalent cybersecurity frameworks.
- Experience performing Threat Detection, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, or Abuse Mitigation.
- Experience with data security solutions such as database activity monitoring, encryption, obfuscation, and/or tokenization.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
Compensation for the Lead Cybersecurity Engineer includes:
- Salary: $155,000 - $165,000 -- $70/hr - $75/hr
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays
