Under the direction of the Cloud DevOps Manager, the Cloud DevOps Engineer will work closely with the Service Now Team, the Cyber Security Team, the Governance/Risk/Compliance teams, and other IT Service Owners to understand the day-to-day operations of the fast-paced Enterprise IT Organization with the goal of fully capitalizing on and realizing the capabilities of the different Cloud platforms. The manager will manage a team of DevOps engineers deliver new functionality and maintains updates to Cloud services across all supported Clouds. This position will require out-of-the-box thinking, effective decision-making, collaboration, diligence, and ownership to overcome obstacles and achieve team success.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Exhibiting high-level end-to-end understanding of web application design, construction deployment, and delivery.

Creating and defining monitoring operational standards with configurations.

Evaluate new tools and technology to improve product speed, efficiency, and scalability.

Working Conditions

Possible local travel to Mass General Brigham site

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science or a related discipline or 10 years related experience

5+ years of experience converting business requirements into workable solutions as a software developer

5+ years of programming proficiency with many language

5+ years of experience leading technical projects, or technical components of enterprise project

ITIL Certification a strong plu

DevOps Certification(s)

Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization

Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds an levels within and external to the organization

Strong problem solving and negotiation skill

Ability to effectively conduct meetings, both formal and informal

Requires minimal direction from leadership and possesses the ability to learn quickly
