Job Description:

As a Data and Analytics Lead Engineer at Crowe, you will provide critical solution development across a broad portfolio of external clients and industries. You retain a combination of functional knowledge and execution skills in leveraging SQL, SSAS Tabular, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and other Microsoft BI stack products. We prefer candidates with a strong client facing, consulting background and business accounting/finance acumen.

Additionally, you have strong critical thinking and analytical skills with a proven track record in executing solutions from planning to delivery. You understand agile methodologies and are committed to the continuous improvement of your solutions.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform duties related to business analysis, such as scoping, documentation, project management, and related activities to establish an engagement blueprint
  • Interface and communicate with subject matter experts of varied backgrounds to adequately assess business intelligence requirements and execution strategy
  • Rapidly develop diverse POCs from various data sources and systems
  • Clean, transform, and blend large and disparate data sources while leveraging SQL EDW, M, and DAX best practices
  • Leverage Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit, and DAX Studio to quickly and efficiently perform model operations across complex deliverables
  • Perform ad-hoc data discovery using tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Excel
  • Create visually stunning and salient reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau (additional tools a major plus)
  • Deploy, provision, and manage Power BI workspaces and deliverables
  • Possess effective writing and communication skills for audiences of diverse business and technical backgrounds
  • Balance multiple projects with attention to detail while meeting deadlines
  • Continuously improve processes with advancements in the MS BI platform

Qualifications
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline).
  • 8+ years of experience in a data analyst, developer, architect, or similar position
  • 7+ years of advanced experience with DAX, M, SQL, and Power BI
  • 5+ years of experience in creating dashboards and deploying to clients
  • 3+ years of experience in Power BI Service delivery and Admin role and responsibility
  • 1.5+ years of experience in leveraging ETL SaaS tools (Talent, Stitch, Hevo, etc.,) or ADF Integration
  • Expert knowledge of creating and optimizing dimensional models
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior ETL developers
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, strong skills in PowerPoint
  • Strong track record of developing high-quality models on-premise and/or in the cloud
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effectively managing multiple deliverables, clients, and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Python, R, or Java.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data security, and compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $104,471.00 to $208,282.00 per year.
