Description:
  1. PRIMARY PURPOSE -


The Director of Technology Solutions is responsible for all aspects of the organization s information technology and systems along with processes and procedures relating to information flow. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing business processes and technology initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity. You will use your knowledge of technology, project management, and process improvement to develop and implement strategies that will ensure our company is running optimally. You will be responsible for driving technology innovation, managing the IT budget, and leading the development and execution of our IT initiatives.


The Director of Technology Solutions will design, direct, and coordinate all activities of the IS department and third-party providers. Director of Technology Solutions will collaborate extensively with other departments and decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, and implement technology solutions for all departments of the organization.



  1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-


  • Leads IS across the company which includes cyber security, hardware, software, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Leads IS department and sets department procedures and technical priorities.
  • Manages IS investments to ensure business objectives and appropriate ROI through a mix of internal and external sources.
  • Leads IS planning to achieve company goals and coordinate the management of current IS systems for collaboration and growth.
  • Oversee the Company s Sharepoint and communication platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology opportunities.
  • Assess all new technologies that will help drive the company vision.
  • Leads evaluation, re-design, implementation, and continuous improvement of critical operating practices and procedures in accordance with company objectives.
  • Manages all third-party providers and oversees contracts and service agreements.
  • Responsible for updating and execution of company disaster plan and continuity.
  • Assess risks, with information and security and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and oversee the disaster recovery program
  • Ensures compliance with cyber security best practices and Johnstone Distributor requirements.
  • Ensures all network, hardware infrastructure and software are monitored and maintained to meet cyber security best practices.
  • Ensures system reliability with internal and external users.
  • Develop and maintain all policies and procedures for IS department which includes security, disaster recovery, system architecture.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and oversees changes to current and future technology requirements.
  • Attends Infor meetings with IS personnel as needed.
  • Represents G-A-P Supply at Johnstone Corporate and user group level.
  • Conducts training programs and writes training documents on company processes and procedures.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing works; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -


  • Minimum of 10 years of IT leadership experience.
  • Wholesale distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience leading a team with exceptional emotional intelligence, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand business strategies and objectives and translate them into effective IT solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing an IT organization.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing IT strategies.
  • Ability to create, collaborate, and maintain relationships with colleagues and vendors.
  • Expertise in systems architecture, security, programming, and network administration.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Bachelor s degree in business, computer science, or related field.
  • Understanding the business and how it is run as well as knowledge of warehouse logistics and branch operations.

ATTENDANCE - All full-time employees are expected to work Monday through Friday, work a minimum of 40 hours per week, and comply with the company attendance policies. Compliance with the general company attendance standard. May be required to work overtime periodically.
