Make your mark at Comcast -- a Fortune 30 global media and technology company. From the connectivity and platforms we provide, to the content and experiences we create, we reach hundreds of millions of customers, viewers, and guests worldwide. Become part of our award-winning technology team that turns big ideas into cutting-edge products, platforms, and solutions that our customers love. We create space to innovate, and we recognize, reward, and invest in your ideas, while ensuring you can proudly bring your authentic self to the workplace. Join us. You'll do the best work of your career right here at Comcast. (In most cases, Comcast prefers to have employees on-site collaborating unless the team has been designated as virtual due to the nature of their work. If a position is listed with both office locations and virtual offerings, Comcast may be willing to consider candidates who live greater than 100 miles from the office for the remote option.)
Job Summary
Are you looking to have an impact on a large technology organization and the work of thousands of developers? If you are passionate about reducing cognitive load and toil for developers, then Developer Experience (DevX) Organization is the place for you!
Comcast's DevX organization creates an extensible ecosystem of solutions, evolving based on deep partnerships, that empower Comcast's Engineering community to do more of what they love and feel deeply connected to their impactful work.
DevX believes we can make developers happier, more focused, and more innovative. We do this by providing tools and automated processes that reduce the impact non-functional requirements have on our developer's lives. We do this by introducing tools that help our developers do their jobs better.
Tooling for engineers is changing more rapidly today than it has in an exceptionally long time as AI-enabled tools find their way into the SDLC. We are looking for an engineer to be a part of transforming the way software is built at Comcast. We're building tools to directly help engineers in development, and we're building platforms to make it easier for teams to build those tools themselves.
If you are looking for a high-impact position in a rapidly changing field where you can apply and hone your engineering and innovation skills then this role is for you.
Job Description
In this new role, you'll be part of a team focused on bringing AI tools to our Comcast engineers to help them build better software, faster. The ideal candidate for this role has 3-5 years of professional experience working with Python and some exposure to or experience with React or other front-end technologies.
This Engineer will work with the DevX team in either our downtown Philadelphia HQ or West Chester, PA office. It is not eligible for remote or virtual hire. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role now or in the future.

How we support you
In addition to building belonging in your day-to-day job:
- You will have an opportunity to take part in a week-long Lab Week three times a year - a Hackathon where we test innovative ways to push our platforms and products into the future.
- You will have dedicated time to learn and teach each other through multiple internal technology conferences throughout the year.
- You will take part in dedicated technology, leadership and culture discussion forums, book clubs and internal podcasts.
- You and your teammates will take the time to have fun and build team camaraderie and psychological safety.
- You will have an opportunity to take part in many Comcast-wide training programs to sharpen the skills you need to lead effectively.
What you will do
- Contribute as an engineer building tools and platforms in a software engineering team focused on tooling for our engineers. Some of the work includes building an LLM platform, creating IDE plugins, and creating software that builds test systems.
- Help to Integrate AI tools into the software engineering process for multiple roles: product management, program management, engineering, and QA (took this from one of your docs)
- Support Development of an Enterprise Scale LLM Gateway supporting legal, security, and compliance needs for Internally and externally hosted models.
- Help review third-party AI tooling to fulfill business needs.
- Work with other Comcast AI teams to integrate AI systems across the enterprise.
- Help provide information and promotion of AI SDLC tooling through teams like DevX Dojo.
What you will bring
- Technical experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in Python, Terraform, and FastAPI
- As a bonus, experience in TypeScript, React, and/or integrating with LLMs in Python code
- Demonstrated curiosity and learning mindset
Where you can make an impact
- The day-to-day life of engineers at Comcast is fast paced and complicated, and it is getting faster and more complicated every day. In this role you'll bring real, tangible benefits to the day-to-day work that our engineers do. Making our engineers faster and better affects many functions inside Comcast.
- The rise of generative AI means a new way of building applications, and you and this team will provide the fundamental pieces that teams using generative AI will need to bring their ideas to life quickly, safely, and with the financial and audit controls necessary to be impactful in Comcast.

Our Values
Pathway to Yes
- We value usable and working solutions now, without compromising quality over a perfect solution later.
- We start from the assumption that someone, somewhere has already figured out a solution to this problem; we value using their results over rediscovering them ourselves.
- We actively collaborate with our customers; we win when our customers win.
Culture of Curiosity
- We adopt a collaborative growth mindset and learn together along the way.
- We recognize that the best idea can come from anyone, and that effective leaders create ways to solicit and consider these ideas.
- We value making decisions with research and reason, with an open mind to experiment.
Lead with Purpose
- While exploring diverse ideas, we value being able to pursue a plan together over everyone agreeing that the plan is the best one
- We are all leaders; we value individual responsibility over micromanagement.
- As members of DevX, we align to a set of outcomes over fighting turf wars; we get ahead by working together.
Team Spirit
- We value attitude over aptitude; no {genius} jerks allowed.
- We value actively and humbly seeking and appreciating honest feedback over preserving our egos.
- We value building teams with individuals from various backgrounds and experiences; there is no typical DevX-er.
