Job Details

ASSYST is seeking for a skilled Senior Business Analyst to support our direct client in Laurel, Maryland.


The role involves leading business process and use case analysis, defining business/functional requirements, and managing requirements with categorization and traceability. It includes modeling As-Is and To-Be processes, supporting process improvements, and creating key documentation such as use cases, scenarios, data dictionaries, and traceability matrices.

Job Type: Full Time (W2 Yearly) or Contract
Job Location: Laurel, Maryland. (Hybrid - Onsite on all Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)

Responsibilities:

  • Leads business process analysis, use case analysis, and definition of business/functional requirements.
  • Performs requirements management duties, including requirements categorization and traceability.
  • Model business processes' current state (As-Is) and future state (To-Be).
  • Supports business process improvement and reengineering efforts.
  • Creates business analysis documentation, including use cases, usage scenarios, data dictionaries, and requirements traceability matrices.
  • Facilitates lesson-learned sessions and collaboration within and across business units and IT functional areas.
  • Collaborates with the Technical Writing team to create technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or another related field.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant years of experience.
  • Must have specialized skills in Requirements management tool experience, Business process analysis experience, Prototyping experience and Blueprint experience.
  • Strong proficiency in use case analysis, requirements engineering, and business process modeling/improvement.
  • Exceptional requirements elicitation and facilitation skills, and expertise in translating business needs into detailed requirements specifications.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful implementation of IT initiatives.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification (Preferred).
