Job Details
Piper Companies is hiring a Threat and Vulnerability Management Analyst (Security) for a large Data Center Company located in Texas. The Threat and Vulnerability Management Analyst (Security) will be be at the forefront of the security-as-code initiative, helping to design, develop and orchestrate a defense-in-depth architecture for the company. The Threat and Vulnerability Management Analyst (Security) will be able to work remote within the United States and is not able to provide sponsorship.

- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, identify potential threats and vulnerabilities from scan results, and develop systems for continuous scanning and analysis.
- Implement and manage a Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) system, monitor remediation efforts, and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams on mitigation strategies, maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, and develop solutions for asset discovery and classification.
- Track hardware and software accurately, automate security processes, and integrate security into the development pipeline with security-as-code solutions.
- Create automated playbooks for security tasks and incident response, adopt a fail-fast approach to improve efficiency, and provide developers with security insights.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and best practices.
Requirements for the Threat and Vulnerability Management Analyst (Security):
- 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management or related cybersecurity role.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, especially Python, Go, JavaScript is required.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Rapid7, Tenable, or Qualys.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and security-as-code concepts.
Compensation for the Threat and Vulnerability Management Analyst (Security):
- $100,000 - $125,000
