Network and Value Innovations Consultant

We are looking for an experienced healthcare professional to support, drive, and influence Risk Strategies Consulting s plan sponsor, provider, and health plan innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate has an extensive background in the healthcare landscape including experience with medical and pharmacy, provider contracting, provider quality standards and evidence-based medicine, network management, managed care, healthcare systems and interoperability, payer operations, clinical and outcomes-based strategies, and population health management. The candidate must be a motivated, well-organized, self-starter with demonstrated success in leadership who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with strategic visionaries and various subject matter experts to help design, plan, build, and execute on various healthcare innovation projects
  • Applies industry knowledge to support innovation projects through effective planning, cross-practice alignment, and hands-on work product development
  • Engages with internal and external stakeholders to enhance innovative thinking around the company and to identify areas of innovation and growth
  • Supports clients directly with research, development, and implementation of innovative strategies
  • Develops comprehensive innovation planning across Risk Strategies Consulting and delivers work products timely based on established milestones and deadlines
  • Conducts industry research to identify new trends and opportunities for new product or services development
  • Manages a portfolio of projects efficiently, in an organized manner, and while prioritizing key deliverables through a client-first approach
  • Interfaces directly with clients, key stakeholders, and senior leadership


Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in health administration, public health, information systems, finance, law, or related healthcare field
  • 4+ years of healthcare experience with a benefits consulting firm, payer, health plan, health system, provider, pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), point solution, and/or any other healthcare delivery entity
  • 4+ years of experience working with external clients
  • Managed care experience including cost and trend mitigation strategies oriented around elements such as cost and quality of care, utilization management programs, payment integrity functions, healthcare costing analysis, and strategic planning; and contracting strategies for different types of healthcare providers such as health systems, facilities, physicians, and ancillary providers.
  • Experience with value based contracting and constructs including pay for performance, episodic pricing and case rates, preferred provider procurement, centers of excellence strategies, and/ or total cost of care arrangements
  • Experience with developing, implementing, and monitoring efficient benefit delivery systems, managed care strategies, and/ or flexible benefit program designs on behalf of plan sponsors
  • Experience with population risk management such as patient care coordination, member concierge and advocacy models, home health, and virtual care


At Risk Strategies Company, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $120,000 - $160,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
