Supply Chain Intern - Spring & Summer 2025

Your role and responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.\n\nThe work model for the role is onsite/hybrid in New Berlin, Wisconsin\n\nPlease note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements.\n\nThis role is contributing to the Motion business, Drive Products Division, Supply Chain Management function\n\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\n \tCollaborating with various teams to support ABB's operations, ensuring effective coordination and successful project completion within the defined timelines.\n \tLearn Indirect Category Management skills for Marketing, Engineering, and Product Management, including supplier selection/qualification, pricing, contract negotiation, approved source list\n \tYou will perform detailed analysis and correct mismatched part data classification (MDF codes) by reviewing Prints, suppliers, part number, descriptions etc. \n \tWork directly with Indirect suppliers to complete predefined spend contracts and support SCM policy compliance (no PO, no Pay, Approved Supplier List, competitive bidding)\n \tParticipating in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.\n \tSeeking feedback and guidance from manager and team members to improve performance and skills.\n \tFamiliarity and comfort using Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) \n \tPreferred skills: exposure to SAP, Power Business Intelligence (PBI)\n\nIdeally, the candidate would be available for part-time employment from January 2025 to April 2025, with the possibility of extending the role into the summer.

Qualifications for the role
- \tCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or Finance in the United States.
- \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- \tAnalyze complex data and use deductive reasoning to derive rational solutions
- \tMust be self-starting and willing to accept an 80% solution and drive to resolution
- \tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- \tCommunicate and collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
