Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an RPG Sr. Programmer Analyst in the Financial Services Industry, based in Brookfield, Wisconsin. As an RPG Sr. Programmer Analyst, you will be instrumental in creating and maintaining software programs, interacting with various teams, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain software programs using RPG, COBOL, CL, and SQL programming languages.
Utilize AS400-based software and tools such as RLU, SDA, SEU, Spoolflex, Query Manager, etc.
Collaborate with teams such as Underwriting, Claims, and Finance, providing constructive recommendations for system enhancements and initiatives.
Work towards the support and enhancement of AS400 applications, e-SURETY application, and web-based applications.
Identify and implement measures to improve the run-times of applications and propose cost-saving initiatives.
Develop support documents for the developed software.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Manage multiple software projects throughout their lifecycle.
Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
Proficiency in RPG programming is required.
Expertise in COBOL - All Versions is a must.
Proficiency in CL/400 is required.
Candidates must have strong SQL skills.
Experience with AS400 is necessary.
Advanced knowledge of AS400 RPG is expected.
Proficiency in RPGLE is essential.
