Position Overview:

A growing government services organization is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive federal contracting growth initiatives. This role is focused on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the federal sector, with a strong emphasis on professional services. The role is onsite based in Orlando, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for federal contracting opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of competitive and sole-source 8(a) opportunities.
  • Lead capture efforts, bid/no-bid decision processes, and proposal development initiatives.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with government customers and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with Operations to expand business within existing client accounts.
  • Respond to market research, RFIs, and attend industry events to gather intelligence and network.
  • Manage and contribute to proposal efforts including writing, solutioning, and win theme development.
  • Travel as needed (approximately 25 35%).

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 4 years of experience in business development, capture management, or related areas within the federal contracting environment.
  • Experience working for a federal contractor (business development, program operations, or bid and proposals).
  • Strong skills in strategic analysis, critical thinking, and pipeline development.
  • Proficiency with federal opportunity sourcing tools (e.g., SAM.gov, FedConnect, Deltek GovWin) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with 8(a) Federal contracting methods.
  • Shipley certification or understanding of Shipley Proposal Methods.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced federal contracting environment.
  • Experience with SharePoint or similar document management tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary:
  • Quarterly bonus potential: up to $5,000 based on performance.
